Flete Estate Hosts Pure Trail Fun Run
In anticipation of Pure Trails’ “Race The Tide” event, to be held on and around the Flete Estate on Saturday 27th May, over 30 runners congregated in the Mothecombe Car Park on a sunny Saturday morning to take part in an informal fun run organised by Pure Trail. Before setting off, a quick stop was taken at the Coastguards Slipway – the high water showed what runners would face if they didn’t “Beat The Tide”!
The route started over Mothecombe beach and West along the coastal path before cutting back inland just before Beacon Hill. A muddy run under Thornhill wood provided plenty of opportunities for cooling off the legs before the descent down to Efford Causeway. Eight miles down and one to go. The final stretched dropped onto the sand of Pamflete Beach before the steep climb back up to the carpark for some well-earned refreshment.
The places for the 10k, 16 mile and 28 mile courses are filling up quick. To secure your entry or for more information on Pure trail fun runs, please visit: https://www.puretrail.uk
