Mothecombe Beach

Mothecombe beach is owned and maintained by the Estate and open to the public every day of the year. It can be easily accessed from the beach car park on foot and with prams, via a gravel woodland path.

Situated at the mouth of the Estuary, Mothecombe beach is nestled in a sheltered cove, with a freshwater stream which runs gently into the sea.

At low tide, there is plenty of room for traditional beach games, picnics and sunbathing and for the more adventurous, the shallow waters are perfect for windsurfing, kitesurfing, bodyboarding and paddle boarding. Dogs are not permitted on Mothecombe Beach between 1st May and 30th September.

Please note that for environmental and safety reasons, overnight camping and BBQs on the beaches is strictly prohibited.
