Bird watching

The South Hams in particular, with its many estuaries, woodland areas and reserves, lying between Dartmoor and the sea, attracts a large number of species.  At all times of the year, everyone interested in birds, from the totally inexperienced to the restless 'twitcher' has plenty to see. 

Many reserves have access for the disabled.  Some have facilities for viewing from the car, such as Slapton Ley. Contact the reserve on 01548 580466   www.slnnr.org.uk
