The City of Plymouth lies at the mouth of the River
Tamar that forms the border between Devon and Cornwall. The grassy
knolls of Plymouth Hoe are famous for Sir Francis Drake, knowing
the tides were unfavourable, casually finishing his game of bowls
before descending to his ship to confront the Spanish Armada. Visit
Plymouth Dome, tucked beneath the Hoe, and experience the sounds
and smells of the past and present. The town is also very historic,
you can walk down the cobble streets of the Barbican - yet it is
also a shopaholics dream.
